The carving full denture base technique is a method used in the production of complete dentures, primarily involving the carving of materials to form the shape of the base. Below are the key steps of this process:

Impression Taking: First, an impression of the patient's oral cavity is taken to create a plaster model.
Bite Registration: The occlusal relationship between the upper and lower jaws is determined on the model.
Wax Pattern Making: A wax or specialized material is used to create the denture wax pattern, including artificial teeth and the base.
Base Carving: The wax base is carefully carved according to the patient's oral anatomy to form the appropriate shape.
Try-In and Adjustment: The wax base is tried in on the patient's oral cavity to check for fit and occlusion, with any necessary adjustments made.
Final Curing: The adjusted wax base is cured using resin material to form the final denture base.
Sanding, Polishing, and Cleaning:
Sanding: The cured denture base is smoothed using fine-grit sandpaper or abrasive tools to remove rough edges or imperfections.
Polishing: The surface of the denture is polished to achieve a smooth, glossy finish, ensuring comfort and aesthetics.
Cleaning and Sterilization: The final denture is cleaned thoroughly and sterilized to ensure it is safe for the patient to wear.
This technique emphasizes precision, comfort, and aesthetics and is suitable for the production of complete dentures.
